Moving to E-Town? Here’s what to know before you sign, and two featured communities to start your search.

WHAT TO KNOW WHEN MOVING TO E-TOWN

Elizabethtown sits on I-65, under an hour south of Louisville, with Fort Knox to the north and Ford Energy Systems (former BlueOval SK) in Glendale to the south. It’s a city of about 35,000, so errands stay short. Before you sign a lease, check three things: which school district the address is in, who provides electric (Kentucky Utilities or Nolin RECC), and how long the drive to work is at the hours you’ll actually drive it.
